DRAFT!! Last updated: March 3, 2010
Today (March 2010) I connected the PCB to the powersupply I used for Headhunter and connected inputs and outputs to CD and power Amp.As Ushi uses less power than Headhunter, another 1K Ohms resistor in series with the PSU was needed in order to get the voltage to an acceptable level. In the drawing I estimated a value of around 240 Volts, with the 1K Ohms resistor it more or less stabilizes around 250 Volts DC.
I used the For-T amp and Mission speakers on the output and the iPod as source. It worked beautifully, ans I've listened to several styles of music while at the same time looking for an enclosure that would fir the finished product. I'm sure that PCB and components need more time to break-in, but I'm optimistic as the sound is already very good (and this is just a little more than a prototype.
