We have decided to give Cyclone a black anodized finish. This meant that Jerry and I had to wait some time in order to get all materials ready and have someone do the finishing job. Effectively it meant that the project was delayed for weeks (months) before Jerry and I came together again.
The amp components came out very well, but the tubes for the power supply were of a different material and the black color did not stick very well either. We decided to continue building the amps while waiting for Jerry to redo the power supply components.
I finished the first inverted version of Cyclone. It took me less time than expected to take the amp out of the proto box and get it into the black housing.
Here you will find a couple of photos taken from the finished black version.

At the back side you'll find the input and the speaker connectors. The two outer most connectors are for power. |

Blue LEDs as an indication that the amp is on. But even without power the smallish blue accents make the amp more beautiful. | |

The costs of the project are not known yet, but both Jerry and I would like to keep costs down to about €150 per amp. But volume switches and exotic capacitors put this budget under enormous pressure so we're not yet sure whether the budget will be sufficient for the Cyclone.
I must say, these are not taking into account the many hours Jerry put into making the boxes and me playing around with attenuators, capacitors, proto listening etc... Needless to say that when charging hours spent on this project for the two of us this amp is priceless (but for some audiophiles this makes our high-end and gives it a ticket for immediate entry in the audio nirvana, duhh).

Lets put it this way: When I'm thinking of all the hours spent on this project, the sound becomes richer....
