Initially, I have been using a wooden box as a chassis for the LD20 amp. It has sufficient space and actually it was a little too large for the amp.
So after a while the aluminum box from audiophonics.fr arrived.
And apparently I did not pay enough attention when ordering the galaxy chassis, as I bought the version that was more deep than wide. Should I do it again then I would buy another one. But with some changes made it was possible to get the three boards in the box.
Two weeks later I made a modification: I added a speaker protection board to the amp (see below).
Some say that it is not necessary, but I feel better if this amp has speaker protection. After all, 200+ Watts of DC can damage my speakers in a split second.
So the question is: Does it sound better tan the T3 amp from hifimediy.com or the T2 based on the 2050 Tripath chip. To be honest: I do not know yet, as this amplifier will get some time to break in (not too much, I do not believe in the myth that modern electronics need weeks to break in) and give my ears some time to get to know the specific sound signature of this amp.
